Head Chef – Care Home
Location: Lymington
Salary: £15 per hour
Hours: Permanent, 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 7:30am–3:30pm or 8:00am–4:00pm
About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Head Chef to lead the kitchen team in a large, well-established nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef who is eager to take the next step into a leadership role.
What You’ll Do:
* Plan and prepare nutritious, high-quality meals for residents.
* Manage kitchen operations, including stock control and food safety compliance.
* Lead and motivate a small team to deliver exceptional standards.
* Work closely with care staff to meet dietary requirements and preferences.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Chef (Head Chef experience desirable but not essential) in a care home setting.
* Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety standards.
* Ability to manage a team and maintain high standards under pressure.
* A passion for creating wholesome, tasty meals for older adults.
