We are seeking a passionate Cooked Meats and Development Chef to join our dynamic Farm Shop department. What you’ll do as the Cooked Meats and Development Chef

As our Cooked Meats and Development Chef, you will play a crucial role in the production and development of our renowned meat products. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Follow cooking guidelines meticulously: Adhere to established recipes and cooking methods to ensure consistency and quality, ensuring every batch — from hogs pudding to pulled pork and ribs — is crafted to perfection.

• Implement and maintain hygiene protocols: Uphold strict hygiene and safety standards in accordance with industry regulations, ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

• Prepare and cook various meat products: Use your culinary expertise to prepare and cook a range of meat products while maintaining our brand’s reputation for excellence.

• Collaborate with the Cooked Meats Manager: Work closely with your manager and team members to ensure efficient workflow and strong productivity.

• Manage stock levels effectively: Monitor stock levels and help build back‑stock as necessary to maintain smooth operations and avoid shortages.

What you’ll need

• Proven experience in a professional cooking environment, ideally with meat products.

• Strong understanding of HACCP principles and the ability to pass knowledge‑based food safety tests.

• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently while building positive rapport with colleagues.

• Ability to manage workload effectively during peak times, demonstrating resilience and efficiency under pressure.
